About Kyoungjin Lydia Shin
Lydia Shin is the founder of SKJ Lighting Design and an award-winning lighting designer with over 20 years of experience in the lighting profession. Before establishing her career in lighting design, she worked as an architectural designer in both South Korea and New York, contributing to a range of commercial and residential projects.
Her strong technical expertise and determination have made her a valued collaborator among leading architectural teams who count on her to enhance and elevate their designs. While she has a deep appreciation for the creative side of design, she draws on her solid technical background to ensure that her concepts are both practical and buildable. Ms. Shin is actively involved in every stage of a project, from conceptual design through to construction completion.

About Gio Miseon Lee
Gio Lee is an educator and award-winning lighting designer. She began her career as an exhibit designer in Seoul, where her fascination with light and space inspired her to pursue formal studies in lighting design in New York City.
With extensive experience in the field, Ms. Lee has contributed to numerous acclaimed projects, including the TWA Hotel & Event Center, the Waldorf Astoria, and the West Ferry Terminal. Before joining SKJ Lighting Design, she held positions at renowned firms such as Cooley Monato Studio and Domingo Gonzalez Associates.
Ms. Lee is currently an adjunct professor at Ewha Womans University, where she teaches lighting design to both undergraduate and graduate students. She has also taught at Hongik University in Seoul. Her interests extend beyond lighting into the realms of art and technology—she enjoys exploring new exhibits and the latest innovations in design and tech.
